The people who hire me

People from all walks of life hire me. My first full-fledged writing project was for a computer institute. They wanted me to develop their course content. They had asked a few writers to submit samples. Since I was already running a small software consultancy service, I had my own written material ready, which I submitted to them. When the director saw my sample, he couldn't stop laughing, and when he finally did, he realized he could retain almost everything that I had written. Books for Dummies were not in fashion those days so humor in instructional content was unheard of.

Encouraged by the response of the students, I wrote more courses. In between I kept writing ad copies for a couple of agencies as a freelancer. I wrote brochures, I worked on event promotion posters, I conceived banner ads (not the ones you see on websites). Soon I stopped software consultancy business and started making websites through http://www.bytesworth.com and taking up web writing projects through http://www.amrithallan.com.
